The Interlock® aluminum roof: interlocked panels manufactured by Interlock Roofing Ltd., locked on all four edges, fastened out of the weather. This site exists for the homeowner searching for where to buy that roof in Texas — someone comparing manufacturers, not just contractors. You buy the roof from the program; a certified Interlock installer, assigned to your project, puts it on.
Texas is hard on a roof in more ways than any other state. North and Central Texas sit in the busiest large-hail corridor in the country, and this roof carries a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating, the highest there is. The Gulf Coast takes hurricanes and salt air, and aluminum contains no iron and cannot rust. Everywhere, the sun does the rest: a reflective aluminum roof in a CRRC-rated color sheds solar heat through a cooling season that runs from April to October, and the Alunar® finish is certified to AAMA 2605. Every roof carries the Guardian Lifetime Limited Material Warranty, which transfers once when you sell.

One manufacturer
Interlock Roofing Ltd. makes the roof: aluminum 3105-H24 / 3003-H24 to ASTM B209, up to 95% recycled content, finished in the Alunar® 70% PVDF coating system certified to AAMA 2605 and carrying a 30-year finish warranty. Interlock Roofing of America is the manufacturer's U.S. program that brings that roof to Texas.
One evaluation report
Texas adopts the International Residential Code statewide for one- and two-family homes, and what a city building department checks is the ICC-ES evaluation report. ESR-1790 covers the Slate, Cedar Shingle, Shake and Mediterranean Tile profiles for IRC and IBC compliance, with tested wind uplift to 177.5 psf. Standing seam is outside that report and is not offered through this program. In the fourteen first-tier coastal counties, windstorm coverage through TWIA depends on the Texas Department of Insurance's own product and installation rules — the assigned installer tells you what applies at your address before you sign.
One installer per project
We certify independent roofing contractors on the system, and a certified Interlock installer is assigned to your project. Texas has no state roofing licence; the installer registers where the city requires it, pulls the permit under their own business, and signs the contract with you. Certified means certified by the manufacturer on this system — it is not a state licence, because Texas issues none.
What we cannot show you yet
There is no published Texas project record on this site, because there is not yet an honest one to publish under this program. What we can show you is the evaluation report, the test reports, the warranty document and the coating certification — and we would rather point you at those than at another region's roofs.

An evaluation report you can look up
ICC-ES ESR-1790 is on the ICC Evaluation Service's public directory. It lists the covered profiles, the fastening schedules, the tested standards and the wind-uplift figures. Check it before you let any metal roof onto a Texas deck, this one included — and because Texas has no state roofing licence, check the installer's certificate of insurance and their registration with your city, where the city requires one, before you sign.
One product, described accurately
Interlocking aluminum panels with concealed fasteners, locked on all four edges. Aluminum contains no iron and cannot rust — which matters on the Gulf Coast, where salt air is the clock on a steel roof, and everywhere else in the state where the sun is. Warranted wind resistance is 120 mph when installed to manufacturer specification. Class A fire rating is available as a complete assembly over GAF VersaShield (ICC-ES ESR-2053) — the classification belongs to the assembly, never to a panel.
No borrowed proof
Other sites in this network publish install counts, photo libraries and star ratings. Those describe other states and other homeowners, so they are not on this page. When there are Texas roofs and Texas homeowners to show you under this program, they will appear here with dates attached.
A warranty that transfers
The Guardian Lifetime Limited Material Warranty covers the original homeowner for life and transfers once to the next owner, who is covered to 50 years from substantial completion — register the transfer within 60 days. Hail coverage runs to 1.5-inch stones — read that line carefully in a state that sees baseball-sized hail. Read the exclusions before you sign; we would rather you heard the limits from us than from the document.

Who is Interlock Roofing of America?
The manufacturer's U.S. program for the Interlock® aluminum roof, under Interlock Group. It manufactures and supplies the roof, certifies independent installers, assigns a certified Interlock installer to each project, and backs the Guardian Lifetime Limited Material Warranty.
Do you install the roof yourselves?
No. A certified Interlock installer is assigned to your project — an independent Texas roofing contractor, trained and certified by the manufacturer on this system. The installer pulls the permit under their own business and signs the contract with you.
Do you hold a Texas roofing licence?
Texas does not license roofing contractors at the state level — no one holds one, us included. Some cities require contractor registration, and the assigned installer handles that. Ask any Texas roofer for their certificate of insurance and their city registration; ask us for the manufacturer certification. Certified means certified by the manufacturer, not by the state.
